Tell us Blu Dot’s origin story.As friends in college we shared a passion for art, architecture and design. After school, we went looking for modern design to furnish our first homes, but the things we could afford we didn't like, and the things we liked we couldn't afford.

1. How did you get your start in design?Looking back I realize now that I always had a interest in home design and spatial design. Every since I was little I would rearrange the furniture in my room to find the best floor plan.

1. How did you get your start in design?I have always been a creative person from a young age, and one that was obsessed with space, composition, color and texture. We moved a few times as a child and I was constantly rearranging/wanting to repaint my room.

1. How did you first get into the world of design?   I fell into this dream career by complete serendipity. My father worked in marketing, and my mom was an avid reader and very crafty.

1. How did you get your start in design?I moved to Chicago from LA where my husband and I decided to build our first home. I looked for a designer here but felt no one had my laid back LA sensibility.

1. How did you get your start in design?  I was a year out of undergrad and had been working as a beauty and fashion publicist in Los Angeles after majoring in journalism at a Midwest university.

1. How did you get your start in contracting and how was LA Build Corp born?I grew up in the construction field and for years I worked as a foreman for a foundation and framing company.
